Terms & Conditions
The plain-English terms for every Kapow booking — what your service covers, your warranty, and our fees. No fine-print gotchas.
Version 1.0 · Effective 6 August 2026. These terms apply to all pest control services booked with Kapow Pest Control. By booking and paying, you agree to them. Please read them before you book.
1. Bookings & payment
Our pricing is fixed and shown up-front when you book. Payment is made online at the time of booking, and your booking is confirmed once payment is received. A required second treatment for certain pests (see clause 8) is a separate service at an additional fee — we never charge for two services up-front.
2. Access & authority to treat
By booking, you authorise our licensed technician to enter and treat the property, including when the premises are unoccupied. You agree to give us safe access to all areas needing treatment. If we cannot access the property or the areas to be treated, a callout fee may apply (clause 10).
3. Preparing your property
To let the treatment work, we'll ask you to prepare the property before we arrive — for example clearing access to skirting boards, bench and cupboard edges, and the areas to be treated. You agree to complete the preparation advised at booking. Your warranty depends on the property being properly prepared and kept in the condition it was treated in (see clauses 7 and 11).
4. Safety
At booking you'll tell us about pets, children, fish tanks or aquariums, and any allergies or sensitive persons at the property, so we can treat safely. You agree to:
- keep people and pets off treated surfaces until they are dry;
- cover or advise us of fish tanks / aquariums and pet enclosures;
- follow the aftercare advice on your report.
5. What your service covers
A General Pest treatment is a residual surface spray that targets common crawling pests (cockroaches, ants, silverfish and similar) and webbing spiders (such as black house spiders and redbacks) that live on or cross treated surfaces.
Some pests (German cockroach, bed bugs, rodents, termites and others) are treated as specialist or program services and are handled differently — see clauses 8 and 9.
6. The first 4 weeks — settling period
It is normal to see activity, and live or half-dead pests, for up to 4 weeks after treatment (fleas 4–8 weeks) as pests keep contacting the treated surfaces and die off. This is expected and is not a warranty failure, so we do not carry out a return visit within the first 4 weeks.
7. Your warranty
Your General Pest treatment includes a 3-month warranty from the date of service (extended to 6 months if you purchased the Extended Warranty at booking). If a covered pest is still a problem after the first 4 weeks and within your warranty period, we'll come back and re-treat.
- Send us a photo of the problem. We book your recall once we've seen the photo confirming a covered pest is still active.
- A warranty recall is a spot re-treatment of the affected area only — not a full re-service.
Your warranty covers targeted re-treatment of the specific pest(s) treated. It applies while the property is kept in the condition it was treated in. It does not cover new infestations, pests not listed as treated, pests entering from neighbouring or untreated areas, or activity caused by new conducive conditions (rubbish, food access, moisture, renovations). Warranty coverage may be limited to the areas we were able to treat (see clause 11).
8. Second visits (program pests)
Fleas, German cockroaches and rodents usually cannot be cleared in one treatment and need a second visit. This second visit is a separate booking at an additional fee, noted on your report — not a warranty callback. Your warranty for these pests begins once the recommended treatment is complete. If the recommended second visit is declined, we're unable to provide a warranty for that pest.
9. Services with limited or no warranty
- Bed bugs — treated as a multi-visit program; each visit is a separate fee. No standing warranty.
- Wasp, bee & stinging-insect nests — one-off removal. A new nest is not a treatment failure, so no standing warranty.
- Ticks, mosquitoes & flies — these reinfest from outside, wildlife, pets or breeding sources, so cover is limited or seasonal rather than a standing warranty.
- Termite treatments & inspections — covered by separate terms and, where applicable, a separate product warranty requiring annual inspections.
10. Callout, cancellation & re-attendance fees
Because each visit involves travel and a booked time slot, a flat $110 fee applies where a visit is wasted or changed late through no fault of ours. This fee does not apply when we reschedule (clause 12). It covers any of the following:
- we can't complete the service because access is refused, the property isn't prepared, or we're sent away on arrival;
- you ask us to return later the same day or another day (a second trip);
- you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of the appointment.
11. When a warranty may not be provided
If, on arrival, the property is not adequately prepared, hygiene is inadequate for the treatment to work, or there are excessive conducive conditions (for example rubbish or clutter), we may provide a limited warranty or none for that service. Where this happens, our technician records the reason and takes photos of the property's condition. The treatment still proceeds and is charged; we're happy to provide a warranty on a return visit once the issue is addressed.
12. Cancellations, rescheduling & weather
Please give us at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Because you book and pay online up-front, the following applies:
- Cancel with 48+ hours' notice — full refund.
- Cancel within 48 hours — we refund your payment less the $110 fee, so you won't receive the full amount back.
- Reschedule within 48 hours — your payment carries over to the new appointment and the $110 fee is added, payable before the rescheduled visit.
- If we attend and can't complete the service (no access, not prepared, or sent away) — the $110 callout fee applies and a new appointment is needed to carry out the service.
Weather & conditions — Kapow's decision only. Some treatments (especially external spraying) can't be carried out safely or effectively in rain, high wind or wet ground — which isn't always obvious even on a fine-looking day. Only Kapow decides whether conditions require a reschedule; a customer cannot request or claim a free reschedule on weather grounds. If a customer cancels or reschedules within 48 hours, the $110 fee applies regardless of the weather. A reschedule is only free when Kapow makes the call — in which case there's no charge, your payment carries over in full, and where practical we'll complete the internal treatment and rebook the external portion.
13. Our service
Our technicians are licensed and insured, and we carry out every treatment with due care and skill using products applied in line with their label directions. Where a genuine defect in our service occurs, we will make it right. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Communications & marketing
We'll contact you about your booking and service — confirmations, reminders, your report and any warranty matters — by email, SMS or phone. That's part of delivering the service and applies to every booking.
Marketing is separate, and only ever with your express consent: we'll only send occasional offers, updates and deals if you ticked the opt-in box at booking. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing hello@kapowpestcontrol.com.au. Opting out never affects messages about a service you've booked.
